I didn`t know so much can happen in a month. No, let me rephrase that - in a month in Autumn.
Summer and Spring are usually crazy, and in Winter there`s less daylight = less time in general, but Autumn has always been lazy and sort of empty.
A part of my NaNoWriMo novel dealt - no, deals! I`ll finish it this year! - with emptiness.
I know it`s a real thing, I`ve seen it, we all have, duh, but this month was so crammed with both beautiful and tragic events (still not and probably never going to be over the Maxima collapse) that I had to split my mind in half (yes, another one - I mean, two) to keep myself dealing with chaos in reality and making up atmospheric fiction. November, u conspirator! Still made four new characters come alive, and that, for me, is the most awesome achievement this NaNo. I bet I`ll dream about them. And hawthorns, and black horses, and exploding suns.
Congratulations and hugs to everyone - the winners, the ones still writing and those like me who didn`t get to 50k but wrote up a storm nonetheless!
Off to December,
Alice
